What is your vision for Knoxville 10 years from now? Reduce the economic wealth gap and health disparities within the African American community. What is Knoxville's best kept secret? Community School of the Arts is a nonprofit afterschool program that provides free music lessons and visual arts, modern dance, and drama classes to children and youngsters from inner city and rural areas in Knox County. What would you do to strengthen Knoxville? Diversify Knoxville leadership and decision-making up to 15% to increase economic security for minorities, and to increase the number of Black residents securing good corporate jobs. What is your favorite Knoxville memory? My favorite Knoxville memory is going to watch UT football for the first time. What is your favorite book or what book is currently on your nightstand? The Bible What is the best advice you have received from a mentor, and who was that mentor? This too shall pass' is the best advice I received from Willie Harris. What advice would you give to your 16 year old self? My advice to my 16-year-old self would be to become part of an organization that brings young leaders together to learn about servant leadership and the current issues.
