The incredible local food scene is definitely Knoxville's best kept secret. I often encounter out-of-towners that are shocked by the limited chain restaurants in the downtown area. Continue the work to connect business leaders to set the example of stewardship alongside each other. Serving non-profit organizations, making tough but necessary decisions to serve all of our neighbors regardless of what side of Knoxville they reside in. What is your favorite Knoxville memory? There are so many to choose from as Knoxville has felt like home since the moment I arrived. But if I have to choose one, taking my son to his first UT basketball game. What is your favorite book or what book is currently on your nightstand? Ken Follett's The Century Trilogy What is the best advice you have received from a mentor, and who was that mentor? Be the thermostat. A former manager, Katie Scanlan told me this while managing a challenging work situation and environment. It resonates everyday still.
