10 Year Vision for Knoxville
In 10 years from now, I hope to see Knoxville progress to be a city that is on the forefront of ideas on how to better solve the issues around social and economic disparities within local communities. I believe that we have some of the most brilliant and innovative people who are working hard to create change for future generations.
What is Knoxville's Best Kept Secret?
The Change Center is Knoxville's best kept secret. It's a place in East Knoxville that is allowing young people to have fun in a safe environment while encouraging them to experience the joys of having a place where they feel empowered to have a sense of ownership.
What would you do to strengthen Knoxville?
To strengthen Knoxville, I would empower my fellow leaders to fight against the systemic racism that still pervades areas of our city. If Knoxville is going to move forward we must address our biases and learn to embrace the difficult conversations. This will strengthen our community and allow us to be a model to other cities in our great state.
