What would you do to strengthen Knoxville?
Continue developing downtown area. Bring more residential to downtown to energize the usage of Market Square and Old City. Make the city street scape more pedestrian friendly. Strengthening connections between downtown and University of Tennessee.

What is the best advice you have received from a mentor, and who was that mentor?
Give it a try. You'll miss 100% of the shots you don't take. Tama Duffy Day was my mentor when I was still a young architect working under her in a nationally renowned firm in Washington D.C.
What advice would you give to your 16 year old self?
Be patient. Take time to find your path. Success is measured in various ways. Sometimes happiness is what success might mean to people. Find the path that makes you happy. Focus on the goals but enjoy the journey. The best will come. Life is a journey, not a destination.
